Penggunaan <em>gairaigo</em> telah semakin sering ditemukan, salah satunya di lirik lagu Jepang. Salah satu penyanyi yang menyanyikan lagu Jepang adalah Wataru Hatano. Data dari penelitian ini adalah <em>gairaigo</em> yang digunakan dalam lirik lagu yang dibawakan oleh Wataru Hatano. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bahasa asal serta makna dari <em>gairaigo</em> yang digunakan pada lirik lagu yang dibawakan Wataru Hatano. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode simak bebas libat cakap dan teknik catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 105 data yang ditemukan, data didominasi oleh <em>gairaigo</em> yang diserap dari bahasa Inggris yaitu dengan ditemukannya 89 data. Disamping itu, ditemukan <em>gairaigo</em> yang diserap dari bahasa lain yaitu bahasa Perancis, bahasa Yunani, bahasa Latin, bahasa Italia, bahasa Belanda bahasa Jerman, dan bahasa Arab. Dalam pergeseran maknanya, terdapat 3 macam pergeseran makna berdasarkan teori Abdul Chaer yaitu pergeseran makna meluas, menyempit dan pergeseran makna total. Data dalam penelitian ini didominasi oleh <em>gairaigo</em> yang tidak mengalami perubahan dengan ditemukannya 78 data. <em>Gairaigo</em> yang mengalami perubahan makna menyempit dan meluas masing-masing ditemukan 11 data. Sedangkan <em>gairaigo</em> yang mengalami perubahan total ditemukan sebanyak 5 data. Music is considered a language, and music also contains meanings or messages encoded by the speaker. Deixis are expressions that require context from the discourse participants. Person deixis are deictic expressions that require context of people to understand the context. “Klang” is a music album by the British band “The Rakes” released in 2009. The researcher was interested in figuring out the deixis in three songs. These songs are “1989”, “Mullers Rachet”, and “That’s the Reason”. Through this analytical approach, this study aims to explore how modality verbs, word choice, and mood patterns are used to build emotions and tension that affect the audience's perception of characters and situations. By using a qualitative descriptive method, in obtaining data, the author took data from dialog in the form of phrases, clauses or sentences through dialog transcriptions from each episode of the Disclaimer series, where modality is used by using modal verbs, expressions of possibility and necessity. Using Deborah Jones’s typology of gossip (1980) and Eric K. Foster’s functional framework (2004), it examines 133 instances of gossip in episodes 1–4. A descriptive qualitative approach was adopted, involving close observation of dialogue, identification of gossip occurrences, categorization by type (chatting, house‐talk, scandal, bitching) and analysis by function (provide information, enhance friendship, influence others, give entertainment). Findings indicate that “chatting” is the most frequent type (59/133), followed by house‐talk (52/133), scandal (50/133), and bitching (25/133). Functionally, “provide information” predominates (97/133), then “enhance friendship” (81/133), “influence others” (41/133), and “give entertainment” (7/133). Namun, penelitian mengenai refleksi ideologi dan kekuasaan dalam wacana debat ini masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis Debat Kedua Calon Wakil Presiden Pemilu 2024 melalui pendekatan Analisis Wacana Kritis berdasarkan teori Roger Fowler dan Ruth Wodak. Metode kualitatif digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi ideologi dan kekuasaan dalam debat dengan menyoroti kosakata seperti klasifikasi, pembatasan pandangan, pertarungan wacana, dan marginalisasi. Penelitian ini juga mengungkap ideologi kekuasaan melalui analisis konteks, representasi, identitas, dan relasi kuasa. Data diambil dari transkrip debat yang disiarkan di kanal YouTube KPU RI pada 22 Desember 2023, dan dianalisis melalui tiga tahap: reduksi data, verifikasi data, dan penyajian data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bagaimana para calon wakil presiden menggunakan retorika dan bahasa untuk membangun citra diri, mempengaruhi audiens, dan menawarkan solusi terhadap masalah ekonomi. Muhaimin Iskandar menekankan pentingnya aturan yang adil bagi rakyat, Gibran Rakabuming Raka fokus pada investasi dan transportasi umum, serta Mahfud MD menyoroti tantangan UMKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kesamaan serta perbedaan kosakata antara BI dan BM melalui analisis kontrastif terhadap percakapan dalam episode pertama serial drama Malaysia berjudul Bidaah. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data simak-catat, data diambil dari tayangan berdurasi 31,42 menit yang diunggah di platform Viu pada tanggal 6 Maret 2025. Kosakata yang ditemukan diklasifikasikan ke dalam tiga kategori, yaitu: Bentuk Sama Makna Sama (BMS), Bentuk Berbeda Makna Sama (BBMS), dan Bentuk Berbeda Makna Berbeda (BBMB). Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi 25 entri kosakata, yang terdiri atas 5 kosakata BMS, 16 kosakata BBMS, dan 4 kosakata BBMB. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan bentuk leksikal lebih menonjol dibandingkan dengan perbedaan makna, sehingga berpotensi menjadi hambatan dalam komunikasi antarbudaya. Kesimpulan dari studi ini menegaskan bahwa meskipun BI dan BM berasal dari akar bahasa yang sama, perbedaan konteks historis dan budaya berkontribusi terhadap terjadinya divergensi leksikal. The writers collected the idiom found in the series, analyzed the idiom’s translation strategies by Mona Baker theory, and assessed translation accuracy of human translation and DeepL Translate using Nababan et al. theory. This research employs a qualitative methodology. The writers found 38 data and the findings are as follow: the findings from human translation shows 2,6% and DeepL Translate 7,9% were using an idiom of similar meaning and form. Human translation 5,3% and DeepL Translate 2,6% using an idiom of similar meaning but dissimilar form. Translation by paraphrase strategy by human translation 92,1% and DeepL Translate 42,1%. Translation by omission of a play on idiom strategy by DeepL Translate 47,4%. The significant differences happened in the idiom translation accuracy between human translation and DeepL Translate. The assessment of accuracy level in human translation by rater 1 and rater 2 are 100%. This research aims to identify the types and meanings of deixis employed in the anime, specifically in the final episode, titled “Episode 26: Take Care of Yourself.” This research employs Levinson's theory, which classifies deixis into four types: <em>personal deixis, temporal deixis, spatial deixis</em>, and <em>social deixis. </em>The researcher employed a qualitative descriptive methodology. The data was collected through an observational gathering method accompanied by a note-taking technique. Albert and to find the formation types of morpheme through affixation processes. This research is used descriptive qualitative method, while the data were collected by close reading and observing the words that contains inflection or derivation in “The Hike” short story by T. Albert. This research used the theory of Katamba for analyze types of morpheme. Based on the result of representative data, the stems found in the short story are 31 and the bases found in the short story are 9. All of the words chosen in this research are words that were easily understood by the readers.
